Professor Sue Horton’s current research focuses on economic aspects of global health. This includes cost-effectiveness, cost and prioritization of interventions of many kinds. She specializes in diagnostics, cancer, micronutrients, undernutrition, the double-burden of nutrition and a wide range of other interventions. She served as deputy chair of the Lancet Commission on Diagnostics published in summer 2021, which supported the World Health Assembly Resolution on Diagnostics passed in May 2023.
